Before you write
- Submitting a story? Use the submission form rather than email — it reaches the review queue, where email does not.
- Reporting something? Report content goes straight to a moderator.
- Want a story removed? Email us from the address on the account, or tell us enough to identify the story.
- Deleting your account? Email us and we will do it, along with your address and any unpublished submissions.
Corrections
If we have got a definition, an etymology, or a classification wrong, please tell us. We publish words from many languages and we are not native speakers of most of them. Corrections are made quickly and without argument.
Press and permissions
Quoting a passage with a link back needs no permission. Republishing a whole story does. Email us.
What we cannot do
